Casa Portao da Cidade
A spacious and comfortable, traditional three-story Portuguese town house, featuring a beautiful sun terrace, the perfect place to relax at the end of a day. The terrace is furnished with a large, comfortable corner sofa, electric awning, BBQ and Pizza oven, storage and work surface.
The house is located on a small residential street, just a few minutes’ walk from the town’s many restaurants and shops. There is a municipal market and various supermarkets. Silves Cathedral, Museums and Castle are all within easy walking distance. The town also offers parks, Sports and Exhibition Centres.
The house is fully furnished and includes an entrance hall, full kitchen with oven and hob, bathroom with shower and washing machine, dining area with table and chairs, good sized lounge with two large sofas (one is a sofa bed). The study area has a desk and monitor, also two sofa chairs, these can be used as two singles or a double bed. The main bedroom has air conditioning, a double bed and ensuite toilet. The sun terrace leads off the bedroom via French doors and there is street parking outside of the house.
The kitchen is fully equipped, or you may choose to have a BBQ or Pizza on the terrace or maybe treat yourself and sample one of the many local restaurants on your doorstep.

In and around Silves there is plenty to do. Whether you enjoy water sports or motorsport, cycling or hiking, golf or sightseeing, or just relaxing on one of the many beaches the Algarve has to offer, it's there for the taking

Website booking - What a fantastic home in the heart is Silves!
Karen was a great host and provided us with all the information prior to arrival.
The accommodation was spotless, had everything we needed and more and the attention to detail did not go unnoticed. Only a 45min drive from Faro airport and a 20 minute short drive to local beaches, Portimão and the race track.
You have everything you need within walking distance, from cafes to bars and restaurants and a Lidl literally a few mins walk down the road.
The highlight for me was the beautiful balcony, absolutely loved sitting out there at all times of day!
Would highly recommend and will definitely be returning.

Wonderful apartment with great facilities. Everything was new and thought of; from cool box to extra towels for a beach trip. Perfect location for people who want to explore the surrounding cities. But next to some nice restaurants and an interesting castle, so you won't get bored if you stay in Silves. I recommend the port experience next to the castle and the jazz Cafe.The sleeping couches were sufficient but might be better suited for younger people

Nice house, in the middle of Silves, everything is quite new and tastefully furnished (great, Karen!). The apartment is on 3 floors with a roof terrace overlooking the old town of Silves, especially at night very quaint. (However: the 3 floors need to be climbed, for people with walking problems this can be a problem). The parking situation is delicate in Silves center, but there are parking spaces in the direct area of the apartment.

The location of the house. Spectacular. The house was very clean and full of details of the owner. It did not lack anything. Thank you.They could improve the auxiliary beds. But overall very good score.
